Pickling
Green peppers, red peppers, yellow peppers are high in Umami and helps with curbing appetite and cravings:
- cut green peppers into bite size and remove seeds
- place the peppers into a glass jar
- combine 1 cup of white vinegar or 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar and 1 cup of water and bring to boil
- turn fire off and let vinegar and water cool
- add 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder or use 3-4 gloves of garlic
- add 1/2 of sweetener, erythritol or xylitol
- 1/2 -3/4 teaspoon of black pepper corns (you can also use freshly ground black pepper)
- pour the vinegar and water into jar until peppers are covered and close lid
- keep refrigerated and use on salads or as a side dish
